Due to the nature of a Torsa holiday, we also ask for a £150.00 damage deposit that is returnable after your

holiday ends.

The price of your holiday includes:

  • beds made up for your arrival, extra blankets, towels, tea towels and bath mats
  • £30 of electricity (fair usage policy, excess units charged at prevailing rates)
  • starter pack of logs and kindling (extra logs £4.00 per pack)
  • use of the walled garden and covered storage in an outbuilding
  • full access to the island & foreshore for exploring
  • use of electric buggy for transportation from beach to house
  • use of a motor boat and tank of fuel (usually more than enough for a week)
  • bouyancy aids for teens/adults, oars, paddles, flares, anchor etc
  • instruction in the use of the boat
  • free access to Ardmaddy Castle Gardens and free use of estate facilities: tennis, hill loch fishing, gardens, woodland walks etc

Well behaved dogs are welcome at a small additional cost.

Things to note..

  • There is a steep hill up to the house from the beach and it takes approx. 5 - 10 minutes to walk up to the house. Please bear this in mind when booking if you or your dog(s) have difficulty walking any distance.
  • Please have wellington boots/ waterproof shoes to hand when you arrive as this makes getting in and out of Cutty a lot easier. There is no jetty/pontoon - to get in and out of Cutty you have to step over the side of the boat from the beach. The side of Cutty is approx. 1 metre high off the ground.
  • Please have a roll of black bin liners handy to put luggage in, just in case its raining. Its also best to pack smaller bags than 1 or 2 really big heavy bags.
  • Due to the harsher sea environment that we live in, we do occasionally experience problems with the buggy. If this happens and the buggy is not working, we have to use wheel barrows to transport luggage up to the house.
  • Please bring your own bouyancy aids if you have small children up to 12 - 14 years of age as ours may be too large for them.
