Things to note..

  • The crossing in Cutty to Torsa from Luing takes 3 - 5 minutes. Ardnimar Bay is a generally sheltered area of water used by yachts as a safe anchorage but the wind and tide can have an influence on it.
  • The use of Cutty in the winter months (Beginning of November to end of April) is limited only to Ardinamir Bay, and range during the remaining months is limited by the weather and the specific guidance provided.
  • There is a steep hill up to the house from the beach and it takes approx. 5 - 10 minutes to walk up to the house. Please bear this in mind when booking if you or your dog(s) have difficulty walking any distance.
  • Please have wellington boots/ waterproof shoes to hand when you arrive as this makes getting in and out of Cutty a lot easier.
  • There is no jetty/pontoon - to get in and out of Cutty you have to step over the side of the boat from the beach. The side of Cutty is approx. 1 metre high off the ground. There may be sea weed on the beach which can be a slip hazard.
  • Please have a roll of black bin liners handy to put luggage in, just in case it is raining. Its also best to pack smaller bags rather than 1 or 2 really big heavy bags.
  • Due to the harsher sea environment that we live in, we may occasionally experience problems with the buggy. If this happens and the buggy is not working, you may have to use wheel barrows to transport luggage up to the house.
  • Please bring your own bouyancy aids if you have small children up to 12 - 14 years of age as ours may be too large for them.
